“The Sea Sleuth: Edventures of a Marine Detective” is an interactive, solve-the-crime book written by Dave Gulko.
The book features Hawaii and Pacific Island’s coral reef systems, and gives the reader the opportunity to solve coral reef crimes based on real natural resource investigations.
The book ignites the reader’s senses with deductive reasoning and critical thinking skills. In addition, the reader is able to dive into Hawaii’s coral reef system, become a marine detective and discover more about the important issues that are affecting our coral reef ecosystems.
In addition to providing useful and important information regarding Hawaii’s marine ecosystems, “The Sea Sleuth: Edventures of a Marine Detective” offers pages of colorful animations.
Dave Gulko is a Coral Reef Ecologist who works for the state Division of Aquatic Resources, Department of Land and Natural Resources. For more than 25 years, Gulko has been exploring Hawaii’s coral reef system.
He is the lead biologist in conducting natural resource investigations in Hawaii and is widely acknowledged as an expert in Hawaii’s coral reef ecosystems.
In addition, Gulko is the author of other marine biology books, including “Hawaiian Coral Reef Ecology” and “Sea Turtles: An Ecological Guide.”
“The Sea Sleuth: Edventures of a Marine Detective” will be released Aug. 10 by Mutual Publishing and will retail for $12.95.
